1971 Building a Legacy

D.K. Gupta founded Vinyl Products as a PVC Compound manufacturer in Delhi with the company’s head office in Daryaganj and manufacturing facility in Kirti Nagar.

1972 Unlocking new frontiers

Pioneering the use of blow-molding technology, D.K. Gupta established Polyplast as a manufacturer of blow-moulded containers of various capacities, ranging from 500ml to 5l.

1979 Expanding horizons

D.K. expanded his operations and started importing all kinds of polymers – HDPE, LDPE, PP and PVC Resin – for captive consumption, indenting and trading. He became India’s leading bulk importer of PVC resin, chartering vessels to import 10,000-15,000 metric tonnes from Romania, Brazil, and Mexico.

1984 Racing Forward

Vinyl Products forged a strategic partnership with Japanese giant Nissho Iwai to source polymers globally and distribute them across India.

1985 A New Chapter

We partnered with Alcatel to make a groundbreaking foray into the Indian Telecom Sector. We supplied and ensured the long-term viability of the digital microwave, optical fibre, and digital coaxial networks for the Department of Telecom. This included pioneering work on experimental digital packet-switched networks, contributing significantly to India’s modernized communication infrastructure.

1986 From Seed to Success

In a collaborative effort with HEID and Danish Seed Processing Machinery, we supplied advanced seed processing equipment to the National Seeds Corporation (NSC), a Government of India undertaking. This state-of-the-art machinery significantly bolstered NSC’s seed processing capabilities, contributing to improved agricultural productivity across the country.

1989 Financing the Future

Vinyl Group made a strategic move into the financial sector by acquiring a listed, RBI-approved Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC). This acquisition allowed them to include lending and other financial services as a part of their operations.

1996 Reaching New Horizons

We expanded our indenting portfolio and secured the distributorship of Godrej Industries, a leading name in household products. This empowered us to distribute chemicals crucial for oral care, personal care, and home care products, further solidifying our presence in the supply chain.

2001 Opening Doors to Opportunity

We established Reprotech International, a subsidiary specializing in the manufacture of high-end stainless steel water features, garden lamps, and other decorative accessories, tapping export opportunities in the European market.

2002 Bridging the Gap

In a move towards forward integration, Vinyl diversified its offerings to directly manufacture shoes for footwear giant Bata.

2008 Delivering More Value

Reprotech International launched “Weave Craft”  and started manufacturing all-weather synthetic rattan furniture in India. Our robust distribution network quickly established Weave Craft as a nationwide supplier to hotels and resorts.

2009 Building a Better Future, Together

We partnered with leading resin manufacturers from Mexico, Germany, and Vietnam, leveraging our extensive network and industry expertise to drive their sales success in India.

2011 Gearing Up for Growth

Set up a state-of-the-art, fully automated PVC compounding unit in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, specializing in manufacturing advanced compounds under the brand name “VINCOM” for the automotive, cable, and footwear industries.

2014 Building a Stronger Foundation

We backward integrated to set up a PVC Heat Stabilizers manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi under the brand name “VINSTAB”. The stabilizers are used for our captive consumption in PVC Compounds as well as supplied to PVC Pipes, Footwear, Cables, Synthetic Leather, PVC sheeting and PVC Flooring manufacturers.

2017 A Spark that Ignited Change

Expanding our backward integration strategy, we began in-house production of plasticizers for our PVC compounds. We partnered with API, a subsidiary of the Action Shoes Group for the contact manufacturing.

2018 Business Meets Leisure

Diversifying into the hospitality sector, we established the luxurious resort – Albert Estate in Mussoorie.

2019 Taking the Reins

We acquired the plasticizer manufacturing unit in Daman from API and introduced our own Plasticizers in the market under the brand name “VINPLAST”.

2020 Shaping the Future

Vinyl Products revamped the plasticizer unit and brought it into full-fledged production.

2021 Synergy in Service

To elevate the guest experience at Albert Estate, we partnered with StayVista

2022 A New Chapter in Structure

Vinyl Products converted from a partnership firm to a Private Limited Company. Vinyl Products underwent a strategic transformation, converting from a partnership firm to a Private Limited Company.

2023 Leveling Up

We increased the capacity of our plasticizer manufacturing unit, implementing cutting-edge technology and automation to revolutionize production. The expansion broadened our product portfolio, allowing us to offer a wider range of plasticizers to our customers.
